21 Feb John (Second Tenor)
I joined the Men of Hope family when it was still known as Parramatta Men’s Choir, in October 2012. We had only just migrated to Australia six months prior and I was desperate for full time employment. I don’t know if you want to call it a miracle, but the next week, after joining the group, I had it! Since then my experience has beenone of brotherly love—care, nurture, support—all the while uplifting God. At the same time life lessons of ups and downs and how the family members cocoon each other in prayer and support continues. Each soul has a story and a valuable lesson to learn from. I believe I am the most loved of this family, because I have the most number of nicknames! My family and I have been blessedbythe support the Men of Hope family have given us, especially while going through a career change. We have never felt the absence of our parents because of the belongingness that I feel with this band of brothers. We may not completely understand what the companionship and brotherhood between Jesus and His disciples was like when He was on this earth, but I believe that we definitely share a bit of that in this family.
