21 Sep San Chapel
This was our second program of encouragement to patients, initiated by the hospital Chaplains. Pastor Sid was a wonderful host, accommodating our every wish with technical assistance, lighting, sound, how many mics required etc. We knew that the presentation would be beamed to all the patients on their TV screens. We wanted to talk to them personally. We started by singing acapella in the main entrance. The unique sound echoed through the air con ducts and down the corridors, advertising that we would shortly be on air. John told of how he was a miracle baby, born premmie, now healthy, all due to Gods loving care. Lance preached from his heart about the importance of thankfulness (to the medical staff) for starters. He started by reminding us of ten sickos, healed by Jesus, but only one returned with thanks. Scott related his bout with meningitis, about his postponing his nurse mother’s advice and initial misdiagnosis. God had a hand in this whole saga. We hope there was encouragement for patients. Apparently the event produced the largest in house audience of people tuning in. There were many appreciative comments too. We hope this touched a chord with all. Then the chaplains provided delish finger food, providing the environment to meet and greet. A wonderful evening at the SAN.
